LULAC National Youth
from your publicity director

My most wonderful LULAC Youth,

First of, let me thank you for taking the time to read this and coming to visit the page.

Life couldn’t be better for me to get myself started in new projects for LULAC this year. I’ve been working towards putting an online website together. As facebook is awesome and everyone likes it, I think LULAC youth deserves it’s own domain. I’m working on a website/blog for ourselves. I want this to be a place where we can all share the fantastic things we are doing.  Have you ever picked up a copy of the LULAC news that arrives in your mailbox, flip through the pages, looking for your picture, but you can’t find yourself in it? It is time to let everyone know how YOUR COUNCIL is doing and what cool things YOU are doing. I am asking for help from all the LULAC Youth Nation. With you, we can share our community works, fundraiser ideas, and our social events in an effort to unite and collaborate ideas together.

How can YOUR COUNCIL help?   shoot me a cool picture with a description of what your council is doing including council information, names of whoever shows up in the picture, future events of your council, questions, comments, concerns. etc

What else is going to be included in this website? As convention approaches, I want to make sure you as an individual is ready for the convention and the experience in Cincinnati, OH. A tentative Agenda will be uploaded, along with possible dress code (that way you won’t feel out of place, remeber this is optional, but its good to look good)
and of course, my favorite part… THE CONVENTION PICTURES! so make sure you visit this site after the convention. I, Sandra Jurado, Promise to fill this website with your pictures on it.

Now, It will only happen if you help. So get going .. shoot me emails; i promise to respond in an hour or two, call me, text me, skype me, whatever best works for you. I want to hear what you have to say. YOU HAVE A VOICE in the upcoming events. Also, forward this to all your lulac contact list. The more that know, the merrier the site will be.

I’ll be waiting.

See you soon,

Sandra Jurado

From Your President

Hello Guys, this is Aaron your National Youth President. How are you guys? Im looking forward to see all of you guys in Cincinnati, Im also looking to here from you guys on what you’d like to see at your next convention in Cincinnati. Right now we are working on a national fundraiser where we’re selling good quality lanyards. I’ve also been a little occupied with things back home; Ive been on campaigns with Loures Galvan, she is running for city council. She is an amazing lady who has been involved with Lulac for quite sometime.

The other campaign is called “Talk About it”. Talk About it is the a campaign that many hope will finally help San Antonio’s Animal No Kill Initiative become an attainable goal. A collaboration of the City of San Antonio and Animal Care Services, Alamo Area Partners For Animal Welfare, and the San Antonio Area Foundation Consortium of Partners. I also attended the Martin Luther King March which is always a great experience and a lot of fun, although I did leave my truck lights on and was stranded for a little bit, and the weather wasn’t to good either. I also attended the American Society of Civil Engineering 4th Annual Volleyball Tournament in which the proceeds benefit the ASCE Scholarship Foundation. It was a lot of fun! In the meantime for sports, I took 3rd place in Districts for wrestling in the 130 Weight Division Whoo Whoo. Hard work will really get you places guys. Remember that. Anyways, looking forward to hear and see from all of you guys.

                                                                                    From your President,

                                                                                    Aaron Mann

From the Treasurer

Hello LULAC familia!
My name is Devin De Loa and I am your Youth national treasurer. Although i am from corpus christi texas, I am currently attending texas tech in lubbock texas! And boy, am i busy. Im currently in the first stages of creating a youth council here in one of the local high schools. I believe every city should have a voice and creating youth councils is the best way to be heard. The national board is about to start selling lanyards so be on the lookout for those. Being treasurer, it is important to keep our funds up and running so we, the youth board, can continue to lead all youth to a bright future. I continue to generate new ideas for raising money and hopefully some of those ideas will be seen at convention. Thank you all for the support you have given me and the entire board. Adios! :)
